OSCAR Foundation is a Mumbai-based Sports for Development (S4D) nonprofit organisation committed to creating opportunities for children and young people in underserved communities across India. The foundation uses football as a way to encourage education, develop life skills and help young people become confident, resilient and future-ready.
Its flagship Football and Life Skills Education programme combines sports activities with learning experiences that build communication, teamwork, problem-solving, decision-making and emotional awareness. Through its “No School, No Football” approach, OSCAR Foundation reinforces the importance of regular school attendance alongside participation in sport.
The organisation also works to expand opportunities for girls through initiatives such as Kick Like a Girl and supports young people in developing leadership skills through its Young Leader Programme. Its other initiatives include disability-inclusive sports activities and Community Learning Centres that help children access digital education.
As a sports NGO in India focused on long-term social development, OSCAR Foundation believes every child deserves the opportunity to learn, participate and realise their potential. Individuals and organisations can explore ways to support its work through donations, volunteering and other suitable engagement opportunities.
