Foundations Care is a not-for-profit organisation committed to ensuring children and young people feel safe, accepted, and valued within family and community. Operating for over two decades, the organisation supports more than 300 children and young people—as well as their foster and biological families—across New South Wales, Queensland, and Western Australia. Working collaboratively with carers, government bodies, behavioral scientists, elders, and community partners, Foundations Care strives to deliver evidence-based, culturally respectful, and outcomes-focused care.
Foundations Care offers a comprehensive suite of out-of-home care services, including general and intensive foster care (including kinship placements), therapeutic residential group homes, and specialist youth justice support. Carers receive dedicated support—training, 24/7 caseworker availability, counselling, respite, and financial allowances—tailored to their state’s requirements and children’s needs.
Placements are carefully matched to ensure safety, cultural compatibility, and stability, with kinship care prioritised whenever possible.
